Sacred Falls Trail Sacred Falls Merlin and Jon climb up and over to do more exploring. Above Sacred Falls The next big waterfall above sacred falls Pool at 2nd big waterfall
The photos below were taken by descending the canyon from the ridge near the castle trail at 2000 feet elevation.
Dave heading down river in the cloud cover. First waterfall we reached by descending down the river from the castle trail. Double Falls at the base of the same waterfall. Second waterfall coming down the river. Dave jumping off the 2nd waterfall. Randy leaping off the top of the third waterfall. View of 3rd waterfall from the bottom (about 80 feet in height). Dave jumped off of this. Randy Heading down stream toward bigger waterfalls. 4th waterfall from the top. The stream did a U-turn to the right so we climbed over the small ridge and descended on the other side near the 5th waterfall. Merlin on the 5th waterfall drop (about 110 feet in height). Adam rippin down the 4th waterfall. All four of us at the bottom of the 5th waterfall. The top of the big drops where the canyon opens up.
The next lines (and wallpaper) are the two biggest waterfalls in the gulch and on the island (300 and 510 feet).
Tour Helicopter in the canyon. Had a few choppers visit us, including the police, but no trouble. Merged the two photos to get view of the whole 300 foot drop. Pool at the bottom of the 300 foot waterfall. Randy rappelling down the waterfall. Wolfman Jared's heading down. Commando style's the proper way to go down this one. Nate continues down after clearing a hole in the wall. Jenne reaches base of first big drop. 510 foot waterfall above sacred falls. Not sure which one of us it is at the top rappelling down. Waterfall is to large to fit in one photo. Another rappeller coming down. Nate reaches the pool at the bottom of the big drop. Helicopter visits Dave during his descent. Adam on his way down.
